Possible Partners

A new couple joined the training this year who is also planning on going to Senegal and doing tribal church planting. We had them over for dinner this past week. The husband had taken a trip this past year to Senegal and was able to share all about his experience with us. It was exciting to connect with someone who is heading in the same direction that we are. They also have two young boys and a third boy is coming soon. They will be heading to France the year before us, so we will be able to get all the important information we need from them. It will be a blessing to have time to get to know this over this next semester.

One story from their trip. They said they got invited the pastor of the church in Dakar over for dinner at 6. He showed up for dinner at 9 and stayed until midnight. Whew, I am going to have to work on my ability to stay up late :)

Will you have access to a microwave so you can easily RE-heat the dinner that was ready at six OR do you do like they did in Kenya and don't start cooking the HUGE meal until the guests arrive... so, even if they get there at 6 you won't be eating dinner until at least 8?!?!

That is really exciting for you guys to have another couple to go through the process with. I pray for a truly special bond with them in your heart for the people there and for our Lord. Thanks for sharing!

No microwave, it takes too much electricity. We will have an oven so we could keep some things warm there. I am sure you wait to start cooking knowing they will be late and will want to talk first :)
