It's kinda different from some other class settings in that we don't break up into individual classes as much. Our "class" is the group of students who came in this semester with us. We stay with them throughout our time here and most of our classes are all of us together in one room. During class this room is filled.
During break people migrate towards the back where there are drinks and snacks! :)
Our class is about 60 people. Several times through the week we do break up into smaller groups of 20 to 30. Twice a week we meet all together with all the other classes (there are 3 semesters) and staff and have chapel.
There is a big emphasis on applied learning, building relationships, ministering, and growing in God. On our typical day, we have classes from 8 to noon. There are usually 2 or 3 different classes during this time that change over the semester. Each day after break we have about a 20 minute prayer time where we pray for missionaries in the field as well as other concerns. There is childcare during this time and Andi helps in childcare one day a week. We break and go home for lunch until about 1.30. About 3 days a week I have work detail for about 2.5 to 3 hours. Andi gets out of this since we have Ethan. :) The other days or after work detail we have a meeting with our mentors and outreach ministry in the community arround us. And of course soccer is Mondays and Thursdays at 5.30
